Effect of polymers on lysin activity
Polymer solutions were 1% (10mg/ml). Polycation solutions were neutralized. One and five microliter aliquots were added to 100 microliters of lysin reaction . PEI is polyethyleneimine
Conclusion: Polycations are potent inhibitors of the lysin reaction.
