Physalis mottle is one of the commonest viruses in Nebraska
It's a cationic tymovirus, similar to egg plant mosaic
It's readily found in the roadside weed, Physalis subglabrata
It's also found in Physalis heterophylla
In gardens it's often found on Physalis sp., less commonly on pepper and tomato and rarely on egg plant
