SDS gels of lysin preps
Preps 1,2 and 3 are from sucrose gradient pellets of proteinase K treated PBCV. Pellets were drained, suspended in 0.5ml of neutral K-MOPS buffer, LiCl was added to 0.5M. For preps 1-3 suspensions were incubated 1 hr at 37C. Prep 4 is from a sucrose gradient pellet of undigested PBCV and was incubated over the weekend at RT in high salt. Following incubation preps were centrifuged for 1 hr at 25K in a 50.2Ti rotor. Supernatants constituted the lysin preps.
