Can increasing salt in the wash (of lysate insolubles) increase purity of lysin?

Lysin prep - Pellets washed with various LiCl levels. Lysin extracted w/0.7M LiCl

Conclusion - Above 0.1M LiCl lysin washes from the pellet. PEI gives its own smear on gels - perhaps DNA needs to be titrated with PEI. Several NC64a salt wash components correspond to components of "purified" lysin prep.
