Some general library tips
Don't be afraid to use the reference desk
Start early on research. Don't wait until the last minute. Research takes longer than you think!
Be flexible; think of alternatives if your search strategy doesn't work.
When you use the computer don't be afraid to use subject headings and descriptors.
If you have questions don't be afraid to contact reference people by phone or e-mail. Get to know the specialist in your major area.
Be prepared - have pencils, pens, paper and money for copier. It's a good idea to have a floppy disk in case you need to download.
