1- Use common sense
2- If possible pay by credit card ($50 liability limit)
3- Be careful with passwords (nonalphabetic symbols best)
4- Be skeptical
5- Be careful at auction sites
Check sellers reputation
Be wary if sellers address is out of the country
Be wary if seller requires money order
Use escrow services if large amounts involved
6- Protect personal information
7- Never forward mail that says "send to all you friends"
9- Never purchase from spam
10- Don't buy anything unsolicited
