Minipurification with and w/o phenol extraction
The left set of three is standard minipurification (0.4M citrate)
The right set is extracted with phenol (after minipurification)
The N glauca sample contains STMV, TMGMV (doublet above rubisco S) and PVY
TMGMV cp (upper band in doublet) migrates the same as TMV cp
Note STMV RNA and BMV RNA4 (about 1cm from top) in the unextracted samples
The BMV apparently has some cp dimer
Some spillover in gel (dense samples tend to flow)
Phenol extracted bands show some smearing (downward), probably because ME was not used here
