Does lysin have cellulase activity?
The substrate solution contained 25mg/ml methylumbelliferyl cellobiose in distilled water. Assays contained 100ml of substrate, 100ml of 25mM KOH, 50mM MES buffer. Samples consisted of ATCV WAL lysin and Driselase. The Driselase was diluted 25x into KOH, MES buffer from a roughly 10mg/ml stock solution. CaCl2 was added to 2mM. Incubation was for 15min at 42C
