PBCV1 - Ammonium sulfate treatment
Intact PBCV1 virus was diluted into 25mM KAc buffer, pH 4.5. Ammonium sulfate was added to the indicated level. Samples were incubated 25 min at 37C and then cooled 30 min on ice. Samples were then centrifuged 5 min at 5K in the microfuge. 10 ul aliquots of supernatant were assayed for lysin with PBi cells.
Lysin dissociates from virus at 35% saturation and is fully precipitated by 75% saturation.
